Choice # 1: Sulk in the corner of your room and cry your heart out.
Choice # 2: Get drunk and dead in some random bar and wake up the next morning with a nasty hangover.
Choice # 3. Watch New Girl and let Jess (Zooey Deschanel) show you how to forget about your good-for-nothing ex-lover.

If I were you, I would definitely go for the third choice.

This light-hearted comedy series revolves around the post-breakup life of Jessica "Jess" Day and the abrupt decisions she made in order to get over her long-time boyfriend who cheated on her. She then finds herself sharing an apartment with three strangers whom she just met on the internet: Nick, the cool bartender who's also battling with some post-breakup issues; Schmidt, a professional with a highly-inflated sense of self-worth;   Winston, the former basketball player who just recently returned from playing in Latvia. Adding up to this hilarious bunch is Jess' childhood friend slash drop-dead-gorgeous model, Cece. With the help of these unlikely friends, Jess will try to recover from her horrible breakup experience and start anew.

At first, I was hesitant to watch this series on account of the fact that I'm not that into sitcoms. I have watched a few series before but comedy shows weren't included in my list. It was actually my boyfriend who started watching this. He adores Zooey Deschanel and he kept on bugging me to try to watch this show. So, I downloaded the first 6 episodes and just right after a few minutes of watching, I found my eyes glued to my monitor and laughing my lungs out while watching.

My favorite characters would have to be Jess and Schmidt. She is extremely hilarious but at the same time irresistibly cute. I love it every time she randomly hums a tune even if it annoys the people around her. He, on the other hand, is effortlessly funny. He may appear like a complete douchebag on account of his overflowing self-confidence, but he could also be unbelievably sensitive in certain situations. I like his team up with Cece. I wish they'd end up together in the series.
